eWheel — an electric-converted tuk-tuk driving through a palm-lined Sri Lankan road
The Situation

Sri Lanka's most familiar vehicle. Reinvented, not replaced.

No new vehicle. Just a new drivetrain.

LeMS (Lanka E-Mobility Solutions), part of Vega Innovations, is a Sri Lankan EV company on a mission to electrify the country's most familiar vehicle: the tuk-tuk. Their flagship product, eWheel, converts existing Bajaj RE three-wheelers to fully electric drive — no new vehicle purchase required.

For the hundreds of thousands of drivers who make a living behind a tuk-tuk, the maths is simple: a full charge costs a fraction of a tank of petrol, and the vehicle they already own becomes cheaper to run overnight. Backed by a three-year warranty, a growing island-wide charging network, and zero-upfront leasing through People's Leasing, eWheel isn't a lifestyle upgrade — it's a livelihood upgrade.

Make Sri Lanka
understand that.

Our job was to make Sri Lanka understand that.

A conversion engine,
built bilingual.

01 Website — Framer

Designed and built the LeMS website end to end in Framer. A conversion-focused build that had to do two jobs at once: explain an unfamiliar technology clearly, and capture leads at volume. Structured around the questions drivers actually ask — running cost, range, charging, financing — with enquiry capture threaded throughout rather than parked on a contact page.

02 Localised Strategy for a Sinhala-Speaking Market

The core strategic decision: stop translating and start speaking. All messaging was built Sinhala-first for the drivers who make up the actual customer base, with English running alongside for the wider market. Positioning centred the driver as the hero of the story — not a polluter to be corrected, but a small business owner making a smart financial call.

03 Social Media Setup & Management

Established and managed the full LeMS social presence from the ground up — Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube — including account setup, channel architecture, content calendars and ongoing community management.

04 Graphic Design & Video Retainer

Ongoing design and video support on retainer: social creative, campaign assets, sales collateral and product communication, plus full video editing and post-production for the content programme.

05 Paid Media

Planned and ran paid campaigns across Meta, built around the localised messaging and pointed at the Framer site's capture points.

From zero
to a movement.

The paid campaign and site conversion architecture drove over 1,000 unqualified leads in a single week, while the bilingual content programme carried the social channels from a standing start to more than 2 million video views in three months.
